That’s why Aurveda is called alternatively as Nature’s healing.

Concept of Health:
The Physical & Psychological soundness of the Body is called as Health.
In terms of Ayurveda, the balance & excellent co-existence between 3 Dosha’s, 7 Dahtu’s, Agni & Atma ( Soul) is called as Health.

Concept of Disease:
Any issue that Produces dis-easiness in our physical & Psychological system is called as Disease.
In terms of Ayurveda, the loss of co-existence or vitiation of any one of the Dosha’s leads into Disease.

4 Fundamentals of Treatments in Ayurveda
For any kind of Treatment 4 basic things or component are mostly essential.

Physician: Physician comes with the priority of Importance. He / She should posses Technical skills, Scientific knowledge, Purity & Human understanding. The physician should use his knowledge with humility, wisdom and in the service of humanity.

Medication: It includes food & drugs along with Therapies. These are supposed to be of high quality; wide application, grown and prepared following approved procedures and should be available adequately.

Nursing Personnel: The third component of every successful treatment is the role of nursing personnel who should have good knowledge of nursing, must know the skills of their art and be affectionate, sympathetic, intelligent, neat & clean and resourceful.

Patient: The fourth component is the patient himself who should be cooperative and obedient to follow instructions of the physician, fearless, able to describe ailments and ready to provide all that may be needed for treatment.
There are 3 Main types of therapy–

Spiritual

Rational
-
Psychological.
The spiritual therapy consists of- recitation of mantras, wearing roots and gems, auspicious acts, offerings, gifts, oblations, following religious precepts, atonement, fasting, invoking blessings, falling on the feet of the gods, pilgrimage etc.
The rational therapy consists of rational administration of diet and drugs.
The psychological therapy is restraint of mind from the unwholesome objects.

Threefold Management to be applied in all Disorders:

Nidan-Parivarjan (Avoidance of etiological factors)

Also according to Patients Doshic Constitution, there are following treatments

Internal Cleansing: entering inside body, alleviates the disorders caused by diet

External Cleansing: Massage, Fomentation, Sprinkling, Pasting, Pressing etc.

Surgery: Excision, Incision, Application of Alkali, Leeches etc.
These Treatments are used in case of vitiation of Dosha’s.
